Moderate to heavy showers and thunderstorms will continue across
the Southeast today. The threat for scattered flash flooding
remains, though the risk is much lower than previous days. Severe
weather remains possible with the hazards of strong winds and a
few tornadoes as the biggest threat highlighted by the Storm
Prediction Center. Fortunately, clear and cooler weather will
overtake the Southeast as high pressure moves into the region
behind the cold front. However, the Florida Peninsula will see the
potential for isolated flash flooding and the threat for strong
thunderstorms ahead of a cold front on Tuesday.

The next Storm Summary will be issued by the Weather Prediction
Center at 1000 PM CDT. Please refer to your local National Weather
Service office for additional information on this event.
